THE STORYIt started as a dream
It started as a dream
of an ex-organised chaos LAN attendee.
In 2023, founding member Bish booked a small theatre hall on a side street in the Cape Town CBD and hosted 60 gamers with one goal: to relive the nostalgia of BYOC LAN. It worked! We sold out and proved that the authentic BYOC LAN traditions live on!
Four years on, ENTER LAN has found a new home. The Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Cape Town stepped in and enhanced the experience for gamers of all levels. We've grown the prize pools, the production, and the floor - but the brief hasn't changed: make a LAN feel like a LAN again.
We partner with ZA Esports Hub work with Octotel, UrbanX, Red Bull, Razer and a long list of community sponsors to keep entry prices honest, and rely on the volunteers who turn up at 6 am to roll cable.

Built with players, casters, coaches and tournament organisers. Every LAN is a chance to make the SA scene louder.
Welcoming by default
From your first ranked match to your fifth final. Newcomers get a desk and a friend. Pros get a stage.

Glow lighting, mainstage casting, branded swag - the things that make a LAN feel huge - without the megacorp price tag.

- 2023
First plug
60 gamers in a theatre hall in Cape Town. Trestle tables and chaotic cabling. The first ENTER LAN finishes with 50 heroes standing (who we needed to kick out) and everyone asks when the next one is.
- 2024
Scaling the rig
We level up. Hosting a whole launch party with DJ and drinks all round! Acer takes all the creds. All 60 gamers in one QUAKE III lobby.
- 2025
Going national
ENTER LAN finds a new home. Fire & Ice is born. 80 gamers. No sleep. Only the absolute best vibes.
